I recently came across JDiskReport, this neat, free (as in beer) java based disk usage reporting tool. I've been using it for a couple of weeks to figure out what's eating my drive space, and I really, really like it.
It allows you to look at the usage breakup in a variety of ways.
It's available as Windows and Mac OS X setup files as well as a Java jar file and through WebStart.
